Throughout his career, he worked in respected kitchens, including as a sauté chef at The Cookhouse in San Antonio, as well as at Cured at Pearl and Trophy Brewing Company in Raleigh, North Carolina. His dedication, work ethic, and love for cooking earned him the respect of coworkers and the appreciation of everyone who had the opportunity to work alongside him.
Outside the kitchen, Josiah was remembered as someone with a warm heart and an infectious personality. He had a gift for building lasting friendships and making those around him feel welcomed and valued. Whether sharing a meal, offering encouragement, or simply spending time with loved ones, Josiah’s presence brought comfort and joy to many.

Josiah’s passing has brought unimaginable grief to his beloved mother, Antoniette Woodside, his father, Craig Elstak, his siblings, and the entire Elstak-Woodside family.
